BodyCraft Academy brings together is an international team of plastic surgeons dedicated to teaching the most advanced techniques in plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery.

 Leading this team is Dr. Zamir Páez, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Colombia and the United Arab Emirates, founder of the academy, and creator of the PRISMA technique for secondary mastopexy.

He has more than 10 years of surgical experience and has performed thousands of procedures.

The team also includes Dr. Raúl Manzaneda Cipriani of Peru, a pioneer and developer of the RibXcar, FrontRibx, and XCrest rib remodeling techniques, and Dr. Ricardo Babaitis of Argentina, a specialist in high-definition liposuction. Both have extensive academic and scientific experience throughout the region.

Dr. José David Salazar Osorio contributes his expertise in plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery in Medellín, further strengthening his career as an active member of the academy’s teaching faculty.

The international faculty is completed by Dr. Kreisky de Los Santos Rebaza, a specialist in L-scar mastopexy and high-definition liposuction who practices in Rio de Janeiro, and Dr. Juan Carlos Vélez Lara, who has more than 30 years of experience in safe outpatient plastic surgery and abdominoplasty.

This multidisciplinary team makes BodyCraft Academy a premier surgical training platform for plastic surgeons from around the world.

Dr. Zamir Páez

Dr. Zamir Páez is a Colombian plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgeon who holds medical certification in both Colombia and the United Arab Emirates. He began his medical training at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá and continued his international education at prestigious institutions, including The Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia and CosmeSurge in Dubai.

With more than 10 years of surgical experience and thousands of procedures performed, he has specialized in rib remodeling techniques such as RibXcar and FrontRibx, high-definition liposuction, muscle volumization, lipoabdominoplasty, the PRISMA technique for secondary mastopexy, facial rejuvenation surgery, and ultrasonic rhinoplasty.

His clinical practice is primarily based in Medellín at IQ Interquirófanos, a surgical center accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI). He also maintains an active clinical practice in Dubai.

In 2024, Dr. Páez founded BodyCraft Academy, an international surgical training platform for plastic surgeons. Through the academy, he has led hands-on courses featuring live surgery and the analysis of complex clinical cases, training more than 60 plastic surgeons from 10 countries.

His academic career includes publications in peer-reviewed, indexed scientific journals:

Dr. Zamir Páez has actively participated as a speaker and presenter at prominent national and international academic events. These include the 35th Congress of the Colombian Society of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, held in Cartagena in 2015; Total Waist in Body Contouring, held in Mazatlán, Mexico, in 2024; the 40th Moroccan Congress of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, in 2024; The 4th Wave of Body Contour Surgery, organized by BodyCraft Academy in Medellín in 2024; and the 23rd International Course on Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, held in Barranquilla, Colombia, in 2025. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), the Colombian Society of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery (SCCP), the Arab Association of Surgical and Medical Aesthetics, the Emirates Medical Association, the Emirates Plastic Surgery Society, and the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgery (FILACP).

Dr. Raúl Manzaneda

Dr. Raúl Manzaneda Cipriani is a Peruvian plastic surgeon recognized as a pioneer of high-definition (HD) liposuction in Peru and as the developer of the RibXcar, Front Ribs, and XCrest rib remodeling techniques. These techniques are now used by surgeons throughout the region, including the BodyCraft Academy team. He is a member of the Peruvian Society of Plastic Surgery, FILACP, ICOPlast, and ISAPS.

He has contributed to scientific publications, including “Andean Body: Plastic Surgery With a Cultural Perspective,” published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum in 2025, for which he served as first author alongside co-author Dr. Zamir Páez. He has also actively participated in plastic surgery seminars and conferences across several Latin American countries. His practice combines advanced surgical technology with a strong focus on technical precision and long-lasting aesthetic outcomes.

Dr. Ricardo Babaitis

Dr. Ricardo Babaitis is a plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgeon based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with training at institutions such as CEMIC. He specializes in male high-definition liposculpture, and his professional background also includes general surgery, phlebology, and lymphology, complemented by a master’s degree in Medical Education.

He is a member of the Argentine Medical Association and the Buenos Aires Society of Plastic Surgery. He has authored chapters in specialized plastic surgery textbooks and published in the Argentine Journal of Plastic Surgery in 2024. He has also served as a speaker at the 18th Congress of the Colombian Society of Plastic Surgery in Chile, where he presented “High-Definition Liposculpture of the Male Chest,” as well as at the 52nd Argentine Congress of the Argentine Society of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery (SACPER).

Dr. José David Salazar Osorio

Dr. José David Salazar Osorio is a Colombian plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgeon based in Medellín. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB) and completed his specialization in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery at Universidad Juan N. Corpas in Bogotá.

With more than 10 years of experience, his practice focuses on facial surgery, breast surgery, and advanced body contouring procedures, including high-definition liposculpture, muscle volumization using autologous fat, abdominoplasty, breast surgery, facelift surgery (rhytidectomy), blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, and genioplasty.

He has also played an active role in the development and advancement of skeletal remodeling techniques for waist and chest contouring, contributing to the research, refinement, and clinical application of procedures such as RibXcar, XCrest, and FrontRibx. These minimally invasive, ultrasound-guided techniques are designed to enhance body silhouette harmony while preserving anatomical safety and respecting surrounding tissues.

He practices at Interquirófanos IQ, a surgical center accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI).

Dr. Kreisky De Los Santos

Dr. Kreisky de Los Santos Rebaza is a plastic surgeon of Peruvian origin who earned his medical degree from Antenor Orrego Private University in 2002. He had his degree recognized by the Federal University of Mato Grosso (Brazil, 2006) and completed his specialization in plastic surgery at Gama Filho University, along with a residency at the Federal Hospital of Lagoa in Rio de Janeiro.

Currently practicing in Rio de Janeiro, he specializes in abdominoplasty, high-definition liposuction, breast augmentation with minimal incisions, and L-shaped mastopexy—a technique for which he has been recognized as a pioneer in Peru, having been among the first surgeons to perform it in the country. In 2020, he received the award for best article of the year from the journal *Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery* (PRS), and he is a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP) and ISAPS. He has also served as a speaker at the 23rd International Course of the Colombian Society of Plastic Surgery (2025), presenting on “L-shaped Mastoplasty: Tactics and Strategies.”

Dr. Juan Carlos Vélez

Dr. Juan Carlos Vélez Lara is a plastic surgeon with more than 30 years of experience. He graduated with honors from the University of Antioquia, where he specialized in aesthetic and maxillofacial plastic surgery. Since 2004, he has been a pioneer in safe outpatient plastic surgery.

He founded Interquirófanos IQ and served as its president for its first 15 years, during which he helped establish the institution as one of the leading surgical centers in Colombia and Latin America. He is recognized for his surgical expertise in abdominoplasty, breast implant surgery, and rhinoplasty, as well as for developing his own surgical technique, known as PSE.

He also designed complication insurance policies to enhance patient safety in plastic surgery in Colombia in 2009. He has received the Manuel Uribe Ángel Award from the Medellín Academy of Medicine and has been recognized in the Top Doctors Awards. He is a member of the Colombian Society of Plastic Surgery (SCCP) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
